Keith Mitchell Joins SCSA
The Space Coast Sports Academy is very pleased to
announce that former Atlanta Brave Keith Mitchell
has joined the academy as General Manager.
Keith was the Braves 4th round draft pick out of Lincoln
HS ( San Diego ) in 1987. An outfielder, Keith broke into
Majors 4 years later and helped Atlanta reach the 1991
World Series.
In all, Keith played professionally for 17 seasons, spending
parts of 4 seasons in the "big leagues". Since hanging up
his cleats, Keith has been a minor league hitting coach and
manager. Coach Mitchell has over 20 years of experience
training young athletes.
Keith will be the lead trainer for our baseball and softball
programs as well as the director of our Select Teams program.

SCSA Team News
The SCSA Select Team Program
has enjoyed remarkable success in
the early part of 2010.
The 13's, led by Coach Garza have
placed in three events this spring and
have one Championship as well. They
are playing the toughest competition
that the state has to offer.
Meanwhile, the 12's led by Coach
McMahon have also taken home a
Championship trophy and placed 3rd
in another event.
The 10's, who will be led by Coach
Mitchell are taking a short break from
competition...but have had a great
2010 thus far with a #2 finish in their
first tournament.
