The University of Florida loves its varsity athletes and when it has one who stands out above the rest, it does a terrific job in publicizing him or her. One of those athletes is Titusville’s redoubtable, amiable Katie Fraine, the goalkeeper for the Gators’ women’s varsity soccer team and one of the best players at her position on the planet.
Well done, Katie. That star quality has shone through since your days as an Under-12 at Titusville Soccer Club.
She’s not the only Brevard County athlete to have excelled at the club and prep levels and then gone on to varsity sports at the collegiate level, though. Off the tops of our heads, with no research (yet), our collegians include:
